Hi, Norman. Different schools have different intents, purposes, and agendas, and yes I should not generalize that part. Many schools are still running, Spirit makes sure the lineages are to carry on do continue and at times are even revived according to necessity. Many do work with light and work in certain ways to keep the purity of their lineage (which is kept even with updated new ways for the energy we are to work with itself changes as we evolve as a collective, and many of the updates come directly from Spirit to make sure the intention is achieved given the new environmental circumstances). If you are an initiated adept, I reckon you grasp that not only the teachings but also full concrete intent of schools are not open and disclosed in books, and are revealed in bites as the adept progresses through initiations in their path in the lineage.
